Dear Friends,
I cannot thank you enough for all of the support and time you gave to my Assembly campaign over these past 19 months. As a volunteer or contributor, this is your victory. You made it happen. Many of you put in the long hours of volunteering, and answered the call each time we needed your help and stood behind this campaign. I am truly honored to have the confidence and dedication of so many. It was a long fight, but in the end your hard work and determination paid off with victory.
It will be an honor to represent you in Sacramento and in District 7. I will work with you to create jobs while protecting our environment. I will also advocate for education and meaningful opportunity for our children and families. With Jerry Brown as our new governor, it my hope that we can all pull together to move California forward into a brighter future.

As hard and difficult as our campaign proved to be, I know that the job I have been elected to perform is even more daunting. I also know that I represent a great District with incredible diversity, intelligence, and creativity. I plan to work with all of you for the betterment of our Communities, State, and Nation. I will be sworn into office on December 6th 2010 at the Capitol in Sacramento at Noon. Noreen Evans and I are planning a joint celebration and party to follow the ceremonies. Details will follow in the near future; we hope you can join us for the celebration!! Once again a large and heartfelt……….. THANK YOU!!
