Santa Rosa Commissioner Resigns To Run For Assembly February 6, 2010 SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Santa Rosa Planning Commissioner Michael Allen resigned Friday to campaign for the 7th District State Assembly seat currently held by Noreen Evans. Evans and State Senator Patricia Wiggins are serving as Allen's campaign co-chairs. Evans, a Democrat, is running for the State Senate's 2nd District seat. The 7th District represents parts of Napa, Solano, Sonoma counties and Santa Rosa. Allen was appointed to the planning commission last year by Vice Mayor Gary Wysocky.
