League of Conservation Voters, Sierra Club, Faculty Association of Community Colleges, Progressive Democrats Endorse Allen for Assembly
SANTA ROSA – Michael Allen announced today that the California League of Conservation Voters, California Faculty Association, Sierra Club Redwoods Chapter, and the Progressive Democrats of Sonoma County have endorsed his campaign for State Assembly in the 7th District.
“Leaders throughout our community are coming together to support my campaign because they know that I have the experience we need during these difficult times,” said Allen. “I am proud of all the support that I’ve received from organizations that share my values and know that I will fight for all of us in Sacramento.”
Michael Allen has received endorsements from over 400 local leaders and organizations for his campaign for the 7th Assembly District seat. As of the last filing date, Allen’s campaign took in more than $108,000, more than twice as much as any of his opponents. To date, Michael Allen and his supporters have visited over 10,000 homes throughout the district, talking with voters one-on-one about the issues they are facing today – creating jobs, reforming health care, and dealing with the budget crisis.
Michael Allen is the District Director for Senator Wiggins, serving over 880,000 constituents on a variety of district issues. In addition, Michael Allen is a community organizer, attorney and former President of the North Bay Labor Council. He intends to use his experience to create jobs, the most important imperative facing the North Bay Community.
